Lowes Home Remodeling, Inc.
About the Project
This project was a joint venture between me and Joanna from Doodlemouse. Jody from Lowe’s Home Remodeling, Inc. approached us about a website redesign. He and his brother had created their current site, and they were looking for something sleeker and more modern.
The colors used were coordinated with their printed brochures, and we used their existing logo. Joanna was tasked with editing the images on the site, and cleaning up the logo to make it look better. She did a fantastic job.
The site is called a microsite. Basically, all the information is included on one page, and jQuery is used to switch the views. PHP was used for the backend of the contact form. I wrote a custom PHP script to handle all the images. It pulls the thumbnail image from one directory, and serves up the larger image on demand. It was worthwhile to write in some automation rather than hand-coding all those images!
The Lowe’s family seems to be really pleased with their site. I checked Google a while back and they were ranking on page one for their keywords!
Thank you so much for all of your hard work. The website really looks awesome. You are very talented.
