Discoveries of the Week #5

My wife and I spent a great weekend enjoying music and relaxing. It is nice to come back and be recharged. This week’s discoveries are going to be mostly about inspiration. We all need a little inspiration in our lives. I always come back from music festivals inspired and refreshed, and this year was no different. Hopefully, these links can inspire you in your work (and play!).

MerleFest

This is the festival we enjoyed last weekend. If you are a fan of Americana, Bluegrass, and Blues music, it is a must attend event! This is my third year going, and my wife has been 7 or 8 years in a row. We have definite plans to attend next year.

The Irreverent and Funny Street Art by Mr. X

I don’t necessarily condone street art. However, this guy is amazing. It is not your typical tagger or graffiti. There is some truly unique and inspiring paintings (?) in there.

The Beauty of Sand Sculptures

Every year at MerleFest, there is a sand artist who creates an amazing piece of work. I missed getting a picture of this year’s art work. In this link are some pictures of equally amazing sand art.
