Dr. Sara Mansbach at Ready 4 Reading contacted me about redesigning their website. The organization had just undergone a name change, and they were looking for a fresh new website.
Ready 4 Reading had an existing logo, and I worked with the colors included in the logo. The organization works with families with children under 4 years old. The website needed to have information for potential volunteers, people who were wanting to donate money, and to the parents they work with.
I wanted the site to have bright colors to reflect the whimsical style of their logo, but it also had to be inviting to everyone of the targeted readers. In the end, the organization was very happy with the outcome.
After the initial design, Dr. Mansbach contacted me again about adding a page for an upcoming event (Reading By 8). The additional page needed information for the different seminars the guest lecturer was giving, a bio of the lecturer, and credit for the sponsors in the sidebar. After the event was over, the lecture schedule was removed and information about what happened at the seminars was included.
